clearing misinformation and judgements regarding ‘renting lizlisa on chinese depop’ post

i just wanted to make this post bc of the judgments and assumptions made, before calling something weird or odd, please just consider that other norms outside your country exists. renting clothes is not uncommon in china

the deposit is just to avoid people renting it and then stealing the clothes, they get it back once item is returned. just like if you were to rent a prom dress, u pay a deposit and get it back once it is returned. these people renting out clothes on this site are typically just regular people and not stores, so the expensive deposit is to prevent being easily scammed.

this is not a scalping issue. some people rent clothes for photoshoots/day outs to not only save money but avoid having an excessive amount of clothes. they rent many different brands and types of clothes too.

i hope this clears up some assumptions made, this is not hate at all.

mikababey recently posted a tiktok where she discussed having some uncomfortable interactions with viewers not respecting boundaries and interacting with her as if she was their close friend.

it’s so important to remember these content creators do not know u!! u wouldn’t go up to a stranger and assume it is ok to just physically invade their space.

it can be very exciting to see someone u idolise or follow online but remember to just take a moment to approach them respectfully!!

let’s keep this community as respectful as we can🤍
