Having bad side effects? Seek a change in dose.

I wish I could make this a sticky somehow.

I've attempted Naltrexone multiple times for AUD. Each time I had to stop the medication (50mg) due to horrible side effects lasting days!

Headache, felt drunk, agitated, aggressive, brain fog, etc

After reading up on my issue I found that may people experience the same side effects and abandon Naltrexone.

Don't abandon Naltrexone, ask your provider for a dose change. I only need 0.5mg for Naltrexone to work. That's 1 50mg pill divided by 100! You may need more or less. It sounds crazy but search the web for Low Dose Naltrexone, people use extremely low doses to treat complex issues

Work with your practitioner. All I'm saying is that MANY people require a very small dose to be effective. Don't give up.

Anyone else EXTREMELY sensitive to Naltrexone?

I literally take 0.5 mg and it keeps me good for 24 hours. I tried 50mg and was sick for says. Anyone else?
