Amy was so cruel and self righteous even before she became manager

I’m rewatching superstore for probably the nine billionth time (lmao), and I’m just now realising how genuinely rude Amy is to people Jonah Especially, like I always knew she was a bit of a bitch later on in the series and don’t get me wrong all the characters are deeply flawed and unlikeable in their own way but I feel like the way Amy treats other peoples problems isn’t portrayed as a bad thing within the show compared to the other characters issues and wrongdoings, Especially earlier in the series.

Like imagine having a friend that every single time you talk about an issue you have or something you’ve gone through/are going through and they bring up how they’re worse off and actually you’re privileged because you weren’t so and so?? I’d go insane!

Amy has always been a really bitchy and self righteous character from the beginning imo and I dislike a-lot of the characters flaws it just feels like Amy’s flaws are less.. idk funny? Like garrets apathy and how he messes with the other characters Especially Glenn is at least entertaining or Jonah’s woke liberal male who reads feminist literature shtick is at least him trying in the most annoying way possible😭 but it just feels like Amy is genuinely so apathetic and cruel towards others issues for no particular reason! Like we get it, ur life was (moderately) hard bc you got married at 19 and you’re poor, but idk ik it’s a show but I just had to get this off my chest cuz it’s been bugging me 😭 lmk ur thoughts!!
