Hi everyone,
I’m a 30M getting into tailored clothing and trying to build a more refined wardrobe, especially for Delhi summers. I’m mainly looking for high-quality fabrics like linen, linen-cotton blends, lightweight wool, and breathable cottons for shirts and trousers.
I’ve heard Delhi has some excellent fabric markets where you can get really good materials at reasonable prices compared to ready-made luxury brands. I’m okay paying a bit extra if the quality is genuinely worth it .I’d rather buy fewer but better pieces.
Would love recommendations for:
I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest options — more interested in quality, craftsmanship, and good guidance for someone starting out with tailored clothing.
Also, if there are any must-know tips for a beginner buying fabrics and getting clothes stitched in Delhi, I’d appreciate those too.
Thanks!
Trying to move from very basic dressing into a more classy/minimal style and wanted some advice on where to start. I’m 5’11 with a broader athletic build (42 chest) and currently wear mostly plain tees, jeans, Uniqlo Easy Pants, and comfortable sneakers. It’s practical, but I want to look more put together for office days, dinners, dates, and casual outings without losing comfort.
I live in India, so most of the year is hot and humid, which makes layering difficult. Looking for breathable, lightweight pieces that still feel mature and stylish. I prefer clean and minimal outfits over trendy or flashy fashion.
What staple pieces would you recommend for someone with a wider athletic frame in a hot climate? Interested in things like trousers, polos, shirts, loafers, overshirts, lightweight jackets, etc. Also happy to hear suggestions on fits, fabrics, colors, or brands that work well for this kind of wardrobe.
