Which driver is the most stable for 9070xt?

So here I am with my 9070xt on 26.6.4. I've experienced a couple of crashes and uninstalling msi center helped a bit. Then just to be safe i set -100mhz offset and -5% power limit. It was great and stable for a few days, then I got a crash. And then another one. So I got pissed off, absolutely nuked everything containing "AMD" in name with DDU, reinstalled cpu chipset drivers and reinstalled 26.6.4 driver. Today I'm gonna test it if it's finally stable. If not I will ddu and revert to an older version hoping it's maybe just the newer versions that are problematic. Here comes my question - which driver is the most stable? I've heard about 26.3.1, is it really the most stable one?

The fixes I've already tried:

- tdrdelay 10

- disable mpo

- disable igpu

- disable windows driver updates

And many more

How should I properly undervolt an RX 9070 XT?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to properly undervolt my RX 9070 XT. This is my first AMD GPU. Before this, I had an RTX 3060 Ti, and undervolting that card was ridiculously simple.

With the 3060 Ti, I would open MSI Afterburner, adjust the voltage/frequency curve, lock it around 1900 MHz from 900 mV and above, set the memory clock to +700 MHz, and it was completely stable everywhere. I never had any issues with it - it just worked perfectly.

After switching to the RX 9070 XT, I noticed that undervolting works quite differently on AMD cards. So far, I’ve only tried setting -10% power limit and -20 mV voltage offset in AMD Adrenalin. However, while playing GTA Online, I got a driver timeout/crash. I assume that's because the undervolt was unstable, which honestly surprised me, because I watched a few undervolting tutorials on YouTube where the creator said that -60 mV should work fine on the vast majority of cards.

My main goals are:

- lower power consumption

- lower temperatures

- maintaining similar performance if possible

- most importantly, keeping the card completely stable

I’m not really sure which settings I should change in Adrenalin to achieve this, or how I should properly test whether the undervolt is actually stable.

Should I be changing the maximum frequency, voltage offset, power limit, VRAM settings, or something else? And what would be a good starting point for the RX 9070 XT Sapphire PURE OC?

My current specs are:

- GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT PURE OC 16GB

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

- Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO ICE

- RAM: Kingston FURY Beast Black RGB 32GB (2×16GB) 6000 MT/s CL30

- PSU: Corsair RM1000x 1000W 80+ Gold ATX 3.1

- OS: Windows 11 25H2

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m mainly looking for a sensible, stable undervolt rather than trying to squeeze every last bit of performance out of the card.

Below I’ve attached a screenshot from HWiNFO taken after a little over 2 hours of gaming - some Farming Simulator 25, some CS2, and some GTA Online.

Sorry that everything in HWiNFO is displayed in Polish, but I hope the relevant information and values are still clear enough to get an idea of what’s going on.

What's the best driver for 9070xt?

So basically I heard a lot about 9070xt driver issues and i bought one myself a week ago. From the start i ran ddu, disabled MPO, disabled windows driver updates. Currently I'm using 26.6.4, I've had only 2 issues since. The first time it was my unstable undervolt, I've had bad stuttering in farming simulator 25 and a crash. So i defaulted my gpu tuning in adrenalin and a dumb idea came to my mind to set the pciex16 link speed to gen5 and boom, after changing lightning quality in game from very high to ultra I had another crash. Both chatgpt and Gemini told me it's because the gen5 is very sensitive and it's better to leave it at gen4, so i did and just to make sure i set TdrDelay 10 in regedit and played the next one hour at maxed out settings with no crashes. That made me wonder if there are any better drivers available. I saw a reddit from a guy who also owns a 9070xt that .4 drivers are just hotfixes and after reverting to 26.6.2 he had better benchmark scores, what do you guys say? I still have the time to return my gpu just in case but to be honest I really like it, it's my first ever amd gpu and i really love the performance but I'm just scared of instability and (knock on the wood) potential driver crashes, I really dont want them, I worked hard in order to buy it

Edit: I also disabled fast startup Here are my full specs:

  • 9800x3d with pbo disabled
  • Sapphire 9070xt pure oc with default settings
  • Kingston FURY 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL30 (expo disabled)
  • Corsair RM1000x 1000W 80 Plus Gold ATX 3.1
  • Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice

Micro stuttering on 9070xt

Hey everyone, recently I upgraded my gpu from 3060ti to 9070xt. before installing the 9070xt i made sure to run ddu, however i noticed micro stutters while playing farming sim 25. i then remembered i didnt clear shader cache, however after i did it the problem still persists. I dont know whats going on. Here are some screenshots of my driver (26.6.4), amd adrenalin settings etc

cpu: 9800x3d

ram: 32gb ddr5

gpu: sapphire 9070xt pure oc

psu: corsair rm1000x

system: win 11 home

Question about my gpu support

Hey guys, so a few days ago i upgraded my gpu to a sapphire 9070xt pure oc and used the support that came with it. However today i noticed i can easily wiggle it back and forth with my finger meaning it doesnt hold the gpu's weight(?) even though i unscrewed that holder all the way up to the gpu when my pc was laying down while upgrading. Yet my gpu doesn't seem to be sagging, I don't understand what's going on, is everything fine or should i do something?

What's going on with all the 9070xt driver issues?

So currently I have a 3060ti but I ordered a sapphire 9070xt pure oc. At first i wanted to go with 5070ti but it's much more expensive. After I ordered I'm seeing a lot of reddit posts about driver timeouts and so on, is it really that common issue? What causes it and how can i prevent it from happening?

Which 9070xt brand should I choose?

Hey guys, so a lot of people talked me into upgrading my 3060ti not to the 5070 but to 9070xt. I now have a dillema about which model I should go with. There are 3 choices and what I want is reliability and low temperatures. Could you tell me which one is the best and why? Also is it normal that on amd gpus the hotspot temp is so much higher than the core temp than on nvidia gpus?

  1. ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend 16GB GDDR6

  2. Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC ICE 16GB GDDR6

  3. Asus Radeon RX 9070 XT Prime OC White 16GB GDDR6

Edit: the 4. Option is the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Pure OC 16GB GDDR6

Edit 2: I ordered the Sapphire 9070 XT Pure OC

Hello guys, so my R7 9800X3D is my first amd cpu ever. My previous one was the i5 11400f. I noticed that the temperatures on my current cpu jump like crazy. For example just alt tabbing to opera gx causes temperature spikes to 60 degrees celsius and launching CS2 sometimes makes it spike to 70. Also for 2 months since I built my pc I had average cpu temps of 45 degrees celsius while playing CS2 with fps_max set to 400, however, for the past 3 days, the processor, under the same load and with the same limit, has not dropped below 50 degrees and it happened very randomly, first 45 degrees on average for 2 months and the next day it suddenly changed to 50 and won't go any lower. I just wanted to ask if it's normal and expected, i don't have PBO enabled nor any overclocking feature. Thank you so much in advance

When doing DDU for an nvidia gpu (pc has a ryzen 7 9800x3d processor) to reinstall the same gpu drivers - because i suspect they have glitched - do i have to install new amd chipset drivers as well? Basically when watching a tutorial on how to perform DDU the guy said to do it if you have a ryzen cpu

Ideally I'd not do all that ddu stuff but I've ran out of ideas to fix my problem which is that after enabling discord hardware acceleration and disabling it 20 minutes later my pc suddenly started behaving differently. When playing CS2 the previous average cpu temp of 45 degrees (very rarely over 50) gpu temp of 50 and gpu usage of around 70 are gone and now my cpu in the same conditions won't go under 50 degrees, gpu sits at 65 and gpu usage is higher with spikes to 99 which causes my aio screen to lag and sometimes even causes a beep and my game minimizes and critical erros such as DriverFrameworks-UserMode id 10111, 10120 and 10121 appear in event viewer. I didn't change anything else than turning on and shortly after off the discord hardware acceleration.

When i exit discord and make sure no discord tasks are active the issue still persists, I've already tried win shift ctrl b, disabling discord overlay, deleting discord cache, code cache and gpucache, did a power cycle and left my pc unplugged for 5 mins. Nothing worked. If anyone knows what the issue could be and would like to help me I'd be very grateful
