I love it when any offscreen battle results in a body (or multiple bodies) that are so thoroughly destroyed it feels less like they had a fight and more like a fight happened to them. It's always a fun way to establish power levels, and the state of the body forces you to imagine how the fight possibly could have gone to end up like this.

I've been working my way through the Demon Slayer anime and I just got to a moment in the Sword Village arc where an offscreen fight ends with >!a demon drenched in its own blood, sliced into multiple pieces, and pinned to the ground with five large wooden stakes, a rake, a pair of gardening shears and two boulders. And since demons can't be killed by normal weapons, it's still alive and twitching the whole time while the sunrise vaporizes it.!<

The other big examples that come to mind for me are Fate UBW: >!Rider's neck doing a full 360 degree turn as her body unsticks from the wall, implying that whatever happened to her was literal seconds before anyone walked in.!<

And early on in Claymore: >!Priscilla showing up, slightly out of breath with a field of diced yoma corpses behind her.!<
