Tonight is the night!!!! Who's excited?!?!

Our 6 year old son (turns 7 in a few weeks) had an accident at school playing soccer. An older child went to kick the ball, but instead kicked our son in the lower shin. After taking him to the walk-in clinic and getting x-rays done, it was determined he broke his lower leg and needed a cast.

We bought him a set of crutches that work for him, unfortunately he refuses to use them because he says he struggles to keep his broken leg off the ground. He needs to be able to move around and it isnt possible for my wife and I to keep carrying him every he needs to go.

Does anyone else have any experience with this and what we're you able to do when it came to their mobility. We are considering one of those knee walker mobility scooters. Would that be a good alternative to crutches?
