2000 Chevrolet S10 LS 2.2 litre 180k~ miles, Accelerates slowly and loses power going uphill.
As the title says, I have a 2000 chevy s10, the acceleration is quite slow, and everytime I go uphill I need to downshift to 3rd, sometimes even 2nd gear just to keep it from losing too much power. There is a service engine light on (ever since I recieved it about a month or two ago), and I know it most likely needs an oil change, plugs and wires, etc. It hasn't been worked on in quite awhile I think, and definitely needs cleaning. I have heard apparently the MAP sensor sometimes needs to be replaced so I'm going to take a look at it. I remember swapping out the fuel filter and putting in some injector cleaner, but no dice. It has about 180k miles on it, the idle is somewhat rough, the car shakes quite a bit while idling and while driving. Don't think I heard a misfire, but I could always be mistaken. No rattling or loud noises coming from the cat, haven't scanned it with an ODB yet, probably will get it scanned tomorrow at autozone.
