Anyone afraid to go without make-up because they look so different without it?

I am a natural blonde with blue eyes. Without make-up, I am as pale as a Dutch master's painting. At about 15, I was taken to a make-up artist and given make-up lessons by my parents. Since then, I have even been told I look better with make-up than without. I am similar to the actress, Pamela Anderson, in skin coloring, and she also looks very different without makeup because she is pale. I have been told I look beautiful with makeup on, and I try to keep it as natural as possible, especially as I have gotten older. I know what intensity makes me look best. Honestly, brow pencil, eyeshadow, and mascara have been my best friends since my teenage years. I do not go out of my home without at least doing my eyes and brows. Whenever my friends have seen me without make-up, they are so surprised, and I have been criticised even by my family and told to please go and put on make-up. Is there anyone else out there who has a phobia of going bare-faced because they look so much better with make-up?

Would you rather have a more expensive well made garment or many cheaper pieces?

I love Quince in certain fabrics like cotton-cashmere, organic cotton, cotton gauze, and I love many of the pants they sell. I also love their shoes, sandals, accessories, and home goods. However, I have returned a few linen pieces this spring, and I am thinking maybe I should just have saved up for one or two Eileen Fisher pieces that could be mixed and matched into my wardrobe. I am working on a minimalist type of capsule wardrobe. I am a natural blonde, 5' 8", 155 lbs with fair to medium skin tone. I wear black, navy blue, Olive green, and white or cream, with an occasional royal blue and/or blue-red piece. I accent with scarves, shoes, and other accessories. I am finding the fit of Quince can be hit or miss. I wear a large but had to size down on a poplin skirt to a small, as the waist was made so big. I never had this problem with Eileen Fisher, and yes, I know it is way more expensive than Quince, but the fabrics are beautiful, and the fit is more consistent. Does anyone else think it is better to buy less for better quality? I should say these clothes would be worn out for lunch, dinner, etc., not for working around the house.
