Photo Request number do not match

Yet again another issue with FG. What the heck is going on?

I have been working to update a local cemetery.  On the front of the cemetery page it states there are 28 photo requests.  But when you click in to get the list of requests it says there are 0 requests with 4 problems.  Goshen Cemetery (https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2203312/goshen-cemetery) in Belmont, North Carolina.

New “Edits Processed” emails?

WTF is with these new emails today that are titled simply “Edits Processed”? Yesterday the subjects were either “Edits Approved” or “Edits Declined. That was much better information than “Edits Processed”.

New memorials not adding

Anyone having issues adding memorials to FG this morning? I just added two and neither now shows up when you search for them. I thought the first one was an anomaly as it was for a cremation. But second one was a moral burial and it’s not show up either.

I’ve added:
Florine Mullins 1919-2003

Maxine Harkey 1940-2020

Sony XBR-75x900E showing “flairs”

What is causing these dark “flairs” coming up from the bottom of my screen (see red arrows)? They are there all the time and in the same place. And what can I do easily and cheaply to fix (if anything).

This is a Sony XBR-75x900E manufactured in Jun 2017.

Updates to FG app

I must say I’m loving the updates to the FG app. I had always wished there was a “recently viewed” for cemeteries and memorials and now there is. It is a welcome addition.

I’m really happy that Ancestry continues to invest in FG. The recent “Suggest Cemetery Updates” was a welcome addition as now they can be done in the field instead of having to get on the forums.

What are your thoughts?

Last conserved stone in TN

One last grave marker conserved in TN. This is the marker for husband and father James C. Karr. He is interred next to his wife Julia and his daughter Annie “Karr” Whiteside. @historicstoneconservation completed 90% of the work in this one.

Resetting double die on base

I’ve been receiving many questions about how we reset these large stones. Unfortunately since we are always in action, it’s hard to get pictures of us in action. But thanks to our cemetery bud Chuck here are some shots of me and @historicstoneconservation resetting a double die on base.

Dual headstone conserved

Today’s conserved stone completed by myself and @historicstoneconservation, is that of Edward Thomas and Margaret Ann Wells. When it fell, it fell on the already down obelisk of his mom and dad, John and Catherine Wells. Luckily neither stone broke.

Neely Family obelisk conserved

Another marker we completed yesterday (6/5) is that of John Wesley Neely, his wife Jane “House” Neely and their 19 y.o. daughter Paralee G. Neely. This one was over 7 ft tall and was in 7 separate pieces. @historicstoneconservation and I are rippin’ it.

Sarah Rosser conserved obelisk

Today’s conserved stone is the grave marker for 20 y.o. Sarah Florence “McEwen” Rosser. The McEwen family was very prominent in Williamson County, TN. She married William Rosser and had one child. Unfortunately Sarah did pass during childbirth.
This marker stands well over 8.5 feet. @historicstoneconservation and I are rippin’ it.

Infant Toon conserved

Today’s conserved stone is that of infant John Eldred Toon. He was the 4th child of Robert and Emma Toon. @historicstoneconservation did great mortar and infill. I’m not good at infill 😂

Two markers conserved

We completed the conservation of two markers today. First, the marker for Annie Whiteside. Second, the marker for W. O. Spencer. If anyone can find out WO’s full name I’d be appreciative.

Elizabeth and her 3 daughters

Last conserved stone from our adventure in SC. This is the grave marker for Irishwoman Elizabeth Graham and her three daughters Annie, Maggie and Elizabeth. This one too some effort. The stone was down and the tab had cracked (someone did try to repair). So we had to pour a new base to fit the width of the full stone, not just the tab. This stone was large enough that we had to use the tripod and hoist (sorry no better picture) and the @historicstoneconservation mortared it in place. I think it came out really nice.

More husband and wife conserved stones

Today’s conserved stones belong to husband and wife, Edward (Edw’d on the stone) and Ellen Pegues. They both died relatively young with Edward passing at 44 but Ellen going at the young age of 26. They had two documented children, Abram and Eliza. The lions share of this beautiful work was completed by @historicstoneconservation. So great to work with him.

Husband and wife conserved stones

We’ve finished up the current project in SC so only a handful more of the grave markers we conserved to post. These are the markers for Kenan and Sarah Morgan. Both had some significant prior repairs that did not hold. We (with @historicstoneconservation) did what we could to get them back stronger and better.

Conserved stone of Pleasant Brock

Today’s conserved stone is that of 33 y.o. Pleasant A. Brock. The picture doesn’t show how large this stone is. Took every muscle from me and @historicstoneconservation to get this off the ground. And the inscription. My goodness it’s amazing to see someone so talented to carve perfect script like that.

Burr Family marker conserved

Today’s conserved stone is the Burr family grave marker. It sits on the Burr plot watching over 8 members of the Burr family including patriarch William Campbell Burr and his second wife Ella Burr.
This one was a real team effort with @historicstoneconservation (IG)
