Starting at their concert on 24 September 1980 at Bridge House, the band changed their name to Depeche Mode, chosen by Dave Gahan.

I wonder if the album ''Behaviour'' released in the fall of 1990, and especially artwork, was a wink at Depeche Mode.

In 1996, Dave Gahan worked with vocal coach Evelyn Halus. Following severe vocal strain from touring and heavy drug use, Halus was brought in during the spring of 1996 to help rebuild his singing voice and repair the damage.
