I watched Digger, let’s discuss (No Spoilers)

NO SPOILER TALK PLEASE

This film will divide a lot of people; they will either love it or hate it. Cruise is at his peak here, playing Digger Rockwell, a persuasive, larger-than-life oil tycoon whose drilling in Greenland breaks off a massive iceberg that threatens all of Europe and its his job to save humanity from his negligence.

The cinematography is brilliant, and the runtime is just over two hours. The supporting cast is great, featuring an amusingly bizarre half-dead cat. Critics have slammed it on Rotten Tomatoes with a 50% score, but the audience rating sits higher at 72%.

THE TWIST will send a lot of people to the chiropractor. It’s a risky film that feels like a Wes Anderson movie at times. Once the film finished, I was totally on board with it and liked where it went. It reminded me of the risks Cruise took with Vanilla Sky and Eyes Wide Shut.

Have you watched Digger? I recommend watching it purely to see which side of the fence you land on!

Black Mass (2015) is Underrated

I’m rewatching this film at the moment; I’ve seen it a few times, I feel it’s a brilliant underrated dark true crime film and Depp is terrifying as Jimmy Whitey Bulger, thoughts? The dinner scene about the secret family recipe is incredible.

Who else feels that Se7en is one of the greatest thrillers ever made?

For a film that came out in 1995, the impact this movie has on me each time I watch it is heavy; the weight and intensity of the murky journey that Detective Lt. William Somerset & Detective David Mills go on to catch John Doe, with the brutal climax at the end…..Damn!

Should we get a spin off series for this wild man!?

I just finished watching all 3 seasons in a row and did not watch the show when it initially came out, the third season despite it being very different from the first two was great.

I feel Alamo Brown’s character was awesome and feel we need a limited series to explore him more, thoughts?
