Most of the other parts are pretty comparable. I live in the Bay Area of California and want to start road racing. I'm coming off of a 93(?) Cannondale r500 alloy race bike after about 700 miles on it (loaner from a local shop to try out road riding).

The title isn't super clear, but I have an ibby rg8 and a line 6 spider IV 15watt. Is there ANY and I mean ANY way to get a good tone out of this because I can't figure a good one out. What would I have to change if I was required to spend money? Pups or amp first? rg8 isn't my only guitar so I assume my others would also benefit from an amp upgrade.

Any help is appreciated.
