11 day itinerary decisions

Hi everyone! My wife and I are currently planning an anniversary/late honeymoon road trip around Ireland and I’m looking for some help overcoming my decision paralysis. I’m looking for personal opinions and experiences regarding the specific questions posed at the end.

We’re coming in late October (Oct 23 - Nov 3) and driving pretty much the entire island, with the intent to attend the Halloween festival in Derry on Halloween.

Here’s the barebones itinerary, as I’m still working on it:

Oct 23 - Arrive in Dublin, get a car and immediately drive to Kilkenny for a night stay

Oct 24-25 - Cobh/Cork

Oct 25-26 - Anniversary stay in Tralee

Oct 26 - Backtrack to Kenmare to start Ring of Kerry

Oct 26 - 28 - Ring of Kerry (plus Dingle Peninsula?)

Oct 28 - 29 - Galway

Oct 30 - Arrive in Derry

Oct 31 - Halloween Festival

Nov 1 - Giant’s Causeway -> Belfast

Nov 2 - Back to Dublin

Nov 3 - Departure flight

I’m working on our itinerary and I’m starting to try to make some cuts so that we can actually slow down and enjoy the trip instead of trying to cram everything in. So I have 2 main decisions I am looking for opinions on. Looking for personal opinions/experience/antecdotes:

  1. Is the Dingle Peninsula a MUST SEE, or would it make sense to cut it from the itinerary all together if doing so would allow us 2 days to enjoy the Ring of Kerry and 2 nights in the Galway area (as opposed to trying to cram Dingle in between and only getting one day for Kerry and one day for Galway)?
  2. We’ll be getting a car in Dublin and immediately getting out of the city when we arrive to start the trip — so we won’t really see Dublin to start the trip. BUT we’ll have 2 days after the Halloween festival in Derry and the only thing we really want to see after that is Giant’s Causeway. So my question is, would it be better to do one of those nights in Belfast and one in Dublin — to cut down on being in the car so long and just to see Belfast — or should we just skip Belfast and get back to Dublin for the extra night so we have a full day in Dublin before flying out the next day?

Most fun striker I’ve used all year

Hadn’t had a perfect round in any gauntlet all year but had to go try-hard mode to get Havertz and somehow got a perfect round. And he is definitely worth the sweat. This ps+ combo makes his dribbling absurd. Can’t be touched in the box

The year is 2033 and Forest Green Rovers are Premier League Champions

Forest Green Rovers used to always be my favorite team to do an RTG with. So since they have fallen out of the top divisions I had to recreate them, start them all the way down in EFL League Two, and work them all the way up. It was purely a for fun save—I didn’t really have any strict rules but just tried to focus on youth development. I started with a good bit of money for good youth scouts, sim a lot of games, and only play on world class so it’s nothing impressive. Just love the story.

Got promoted in 2 straight seasons, spent 2 years in the Championship—winning it the second, and then worked my way up the Premier League table each year. Pics 8-10 show my EFL Championship Player of the Season, the trophy, and the team on the first day of their first Premier League season the following year.

Title winning team is in the 3rd pic. Also won the Carabao Cup so it was technically a double (trophy in 4th pic). We’ve got what is becoming the best midfield in the world. Ando won Premier League player of the season. Bought him from Celtic in year 2 of being in the Prem. Cartwright is my best player tho—youth academy grad, started every game since being promoted, team captain, 2 PS+, absolute heart and soul of the club.

Last couple pictures are just to show the jerseys cause I actually love them even tho they’re out there cause I feel like they are something Forest Green would actually wear.

Got 7 wins with my boys this weekend. If I didn’t have this passion squad there’d be literally no point in playing anymore this year. I haven’t played rivals or squad battles in weeks since they’ve been gifting champs points. But this squad has kept Champs fun at least
