LGT hilt doesn't seem to charge above 80%

So i just got my Sith Revan LGT hilt, but it doesn't want to charge above 80%, no matter how long it's plugged in.

I'm using my laptops USB port with the cable they provided, since all my charging bricks are C to C.

I'm not sure what to do, I tried taking the battery out and putting it in, but this didn't help at all.

Difference between LGT/TXQ and custom, high quality sabers?

What are some of the main differences between the mid shelf sabers from Alibaba/Aliexpress and premium, custom made ones, for example Sabertrio (I don't remember any other ones)

Also, is it worth buying something like master chassis? It looks amazing, but for a few metal parts they seem extremely overpriced.

Do people actually use them in their sabers, or are they just a display piece? Same for the high-end hilts. I would be scared to even touch some sabers that cost like 800$

I'm considering just buying the cheapest LGT/TXQ hilt that looks good with Xenopixel, but I'm not sure if I won't be disappointed if I don't invest a bit more

Difference between LGT/LXQ and custom, high-end sabers

Apart from more detail, sometimes materials and probably the quality of electronics, is there really that much difference, to pay a few times more for a hilt?

I'm just wondering, since my first ever hilt was LG (and it was decent), how does it compare to 100% custom ones?

Is it really worth paying that much?

Also, to people who do pay that price - do you ever actually use the sabers, or are they just a display piece?

To be clear: I'm not attacking the price or anything, I'm just really curious about that.

Duty & Tax Invoice - wrong dates

Hey everyone, looking for some advice from FedEx employees or logistics experts. I paid a duty invoice today on the official FedEx website, but looking at the paperwork, the timeline is physically impossible.

Here is the breakdown:

June 15: I placed an order for 2 items on Alibaba (via Alibaba Logistics).

Today (June 22): I got a physical "Duty & Tax" invoice in the mail. Because my Alibaba tracking showed the package was currently "in Poland," I assumed this was the duty for it. I went directly to the official FedEx website, entered the invoice details, and paid the ~$30.

After paying, I looked closer at the dates on the paperwork and realized they make no sense:

Invoice Date: June 11

Delivery Date on Invoice: Claims it was delivered on June 9

Order Date on Invoice: Says June 5 (and page 2 says June 3)

My actual Alibaba order wasn't even created until June 15. I didn't order anything else, but the weirdest part is that the invoice has my correct name, address, and the correct seller/item details - except it only lists 1 item instead of 2.

Since I paid this on the actual FedEx website, I know the invoice isn't a scam. Just what the f happened here? Did any of you have simillar situations?

The first one in the collection

Hello there, good folk.

I just got my first ever lightsaber, it's base-lit model Beta from Padawan Outpost (UK).

I'm really happy with it, it has great smooth swing and sound. The default fonts are great, but I'll look into some other free ones and test them out (happy to take some recommendations 😁)

Build quality is also amazing, and I'm stunned at how good the hilt looks. It is a somewhat basic design, but I'm not a fan of flashy ones (or the switch boxes on the OG designs)

I'm also kinda dissapointed in myself for not doing further research - I overpaid a lot, considering it was almost 50$ cheaper on Alibaba, AND Xenopixel instead of base-lit 😬

I allready feel addicted, and I'm considering buying another one, Xeno or even Proffie this time, but well - for much cheaper than this one 😅

I'm also curious, what was YOUR first ever saber?

Island "objectives" on the map not always working

Hey guys. I have a problem - even if I allready achieved some of the objectives, they don't always show on the map. For example on Hummingberg I allready got the ship, got the spirit and the shrine (altho I did it BEFORE Gwen showed it to me, that might have something to do with it) and the same thing happened with Mount Toroyama, I allready got the one sheep that was there and completed this one for the quest. On some islands the trees also still show as not checked, even tho i allready cut them all.

Am I doing something wrong, is this a bug or will it get checked off at some other time? I'm kinda lost tbh

First time arch user - need a bit of guidance

I'm currently 21, and I've always been using windows.

I tried linux before in VM, but didn't really use it, since I didn't see a point.

But, since I have some time to kill i decided to go into deep waters and learn that way - so I installed Arch. I'll be honest - I kinda got hooked in by hyprland look on allready riced desktops, so I decided to go eith it.

Not sure if this was a bad idea, but the first few... well hours were really underwhelming. I didn't really research Arch much in general, so I expected just a bit of GUI like wifi and bluetooth controlls, but I learned the hard way that this isn't mint xD

I kinda started off the wrong foot at first, tried to just download some dot files from a nice setup that i liked, but I got a lot of errors, and didn't really know hoe to fix that. So I did a clean install, and decided to just start from scratch.

I got:

- rofi

- plain wallpaper set up with hyprpaper

- some waybar i took from github as a placeholder

- blueman for BT, but it just looks like I'm in the 90s xD (actually connected with bluetoothctl before)

- very basic SDDM theme to make it look a bit more friendly

I'd like to go right into ricing, but I'm aware that i first need to build a system that will actually be usable.

For example, I really like the look and feel of quick settings from GNOME, not sure if its possible to replicate that or not

But anyways, I wanted to ask:

What do you actually recommend for a total beginner to install and set up, and to learn before trying to daily drive arch?

Sorry for the long post, btw

Edit: i know there is a wiki, but I can't really find these kinds of recommendations, there are just list upon lists of things i "can" use or do, but not what i actually should try for the first time, which things could eork better thsn others
