Have a S2 coming in this week and all my stockpiles for plinking ammo is either blazer brass or federal 115gr. I saw somewhere they’re a lil finnicky with 115 and step up to 124s, but some places I see they run everything. I have a huge stockpile of 115gr, should I just send it or start picking up some heavier stuff for breaking it in?
Since I’ve moved across the country at the beginning of the year, a lot of the bullshit I owned I either sold, or stayed back with family members for sentimental reasons. Have thinned out QUITE a bit! But now it’s all quality>quantity. Got a big milestone coming up and want to treat myself to something new.
I do not want a shotgun right now, I have many back with my family and will move them to my place eventually. I’ve been really eyeing a CZ Shadow 2, but I’m thinking maybe get some kind of PCC? MAYBE .300 BO upper? But not too thrilled about stacking a new caliber now or getting new dies/bullets/brass to reload it.
My budget is ~$2k in my head(for now). Looking at what I have now(T3x in 6.5cm, 16.5 MR556A4, 11.5 URGI, VP9K) What would you add here? Please give me some ideas!!!
Finally worked out a really good and simple handload for 5.56 gas gun. 73ELDM, 24gr ramshot TAC, CCI41, Starline 5.56 brass. 2800FPS out of a 16.5” 1:7. Grouping is with/without my coldbore shot with suppressor first round pop. Also with my old NX8 1-8 with the crappy F1 reticle, so with a more precision reticle, or even just some more time and luck I really think I can tighten this up to sub MOA.
Absolute hammer out to 6-700, and making pretty consistent hits at 800 with wind depending! Easily the most accurate off the shelf upper that I’ve ever shot. Using a Wilson combat TR-ETU-M2, which is a 4lb but VERY crisp trigger. And for the price compared to a geissele MR trigger, blows it out of the water.
Tried and true combo. No complaints about this one at all!
