These envelopes were done before I got my stamp show haul on Saturday that is why none of them are used in this photo. Someone I’m mailing to likes the Olympics and so I was happy to be able to cater to her likes.

I went overboard on buying stamps, what a surprise 🤣. Just a reminder this was my first stamp show that I have gone to which is why I went overboard. I got some stamps at 50% of FV and a lot at FV but they were what I would call premium stamps because I normally see theses stamps for over FV or quite a bit over face value like the 22 cent state birds stamps which I got at face value so I got a couple sheets..lol. I got multiples of some sheets because they were FV, so I could use them. We must not name here what I do with the other stamps I got since it’s not allowed on this subreddit. I was definitely much younger than most of the people there and also being a female I stood out against a bunch of older men. There were a few women who came with their husbands but I stood out. I also stood out for not collecting actual stamps or looking for a specific type since I was mainly looking for stamps to use in mailing. I confused people for sure but they seemed very nice and happy to have me there and especially happy to take my money 🤣. I was under the impression I am supposed to barter with the stamp dealers because most of them gave me some sort of discount off the all the stamps I got when I didn’t barter with them. Are you supposed to barter over the price at a stamp show or does it just depend on the show? I had a wonderful time and will go again when they there is another one. I am worried if I start going to the stamp club get togethers monthly I will not fit in since I don’t collect per se specific stamps but mainly use all my stamps for mailing. I know I went crazy! You don’t have to tell me.

I’ve really been into small denominations stamps for some reason so I got 400 American Kestrel 1 cent stamps which I can’t wait to start using.

I got some small denominations stamps this week in the mail and I’m really excited. I’ve already used the Tiffany lamp and 1 cent apple stamp on a card. I just got the Navajo jewelry in the mail today so I haven’t had time to use it but I’m excited because they are beautiful.

Thank you so very much to u/nothankyou928 and u/craftymonmon for sending me a thank you card and being so generous and sending me a bunch of stamps!! It was incredibly thoughtful to send me stamps and I greatly appreciate it! I love the vintage and the new stamps especially the fruit small denominations. Also I love using Olympic stamps and have quite a few so thank you for adding to my collection to use.

I just got delivered my new addition ounce stamps and I’m SO EXCITED 🎉!! I got a 90 roll of the penguins and 2x100 rolls of the brush rabbits. I can’t wait to use them especially the penguins since I’ve never seen them before.

I needed some things at Home Goods yesterday, so I looked at their cards and got a few sets. Each set was $4.99. The lobster set has 16 cards, the flower set has 10 cards and the tomato has 12 cards plus they all have envelopes, of course. Did I need cards, absolutely not but did I find cute cards, yes so I had to buy them at such a good price.

This is Loopy Whisk’s lemon blueberry loaf cake with blueberry drizzle and it turns out amazing. I used King Arthur’s gluten free flour because I’m trying to use it up instead of Loopy Whisk’s fabulous gluten free flour mix which tastes like gluten or at least the best I can remember. I highly recommend this recipe it’s fairly easy to make and doesn’t take too much time and effort. I’m a very slow baker and it takes me about 45 minutes to get ready for the oven. I’m sure everyone else will be faster than me. One difference I do is I use the zest of both lemons instead of one lemon for the recipe. I also take the zest and sugar and smash it with my fingers till it’s lemon zest sugar which gives it a more lemony flavor(this technique is from on of Loopy Whisk’s other recipes).

I ordered some stamps from my stamp dealer and they came in. The last photo is a roll of 50 stamps of Flags of Our Nation/PSA Series 2 of 6. Can you believe a roll of 50 stamps cost $21 in 2008, I believe. It has the states and US territories included in the series of stamps. I haven’t looked at them all but the ones I’ve seen are beautiful.
