Changing the overpatch midway through sensor life?

looking for advice and hopefully someone with specific experience! i am on my first sensor ever, tried to learn as much and make good choices but we don’t know what we don’t know.

my setup: skin prep, sensor, dexcom overpatch, other overpatch on top (no center cut out, but the center is non-adhesive.)

and, yay for me… it’s ON THERE. no worries about this thing budging. and that’s the problem. i want the top most overpatch OFF.

i am worried that in loosening and removing it, no matter how careful i am, i am going to lose the sensor. i’ve also considered that the sensor might be just as on there at the whole kit.

anyone have any tips for removing the over over patch and saving the sensor? i’m only 5 days into this “15” days. idk how i’m supposed to live with this overpatch another 10!! and it’s so weird—i don’t notice it, can’t feel it at all, it’s not tugging or making my skin react, it’s not peeling, fraying, or any of the other bothersome stuff these things seem to do. i just hate it on some unknown existential level.

TIA!!!

i am waiting for my first pen to be delivered and expecting it tomorrow.

my provider Rxed 5mg as a starting dose which i know is higher than the typical starting dose. just wondering if anyone out there who also started at 5mg could share their experience. in general, i don’t typically experience bad side affects with any medication. i also have never been on any medication like this so i don’t know if that “evidence” is worth anything.
