I've read in Glantz's When Titans Clashed, that an average rifle division is supposed to have around 9.000 men or so however more often than not they'd have around 7.000 men, a lot would even have around 2.000 men. But despite suffering from a pretty bad manpower crisis that's almost as worse as the Wehrmacht the Red Army created tons of new divisions, and reforming the destroyed ones. Why did they do it ? The British for example often cannibalized their divisions late in the war.

I just bought Arma 3 and I'm looking for people to play with. Last thing I want is too accidentally walked into a server full of racists and chuds, so I'm wondering if there's anyone here know of or is in a leftist Arma community, thanks !

There are a lot of generals in history who are often criticized as poor or incompetent on the field but highly capable administrators and organizers (McClellan, and Joffre as examples), but were there any generals who are tactically brilliant on the field but absolutely horrid as an administrator or organizer behind friendly lines ?
