Some more ideas for new Strogg types.
I always felt Quake 2 still has some room for absent Strogg variations.
I thought of one, A Strogg similar to the guards with a football player posture. Basically, a super guard, tall and degraded that stands menacingly until encountered. The Chaingun seems to be the best fit for weaponry. Not as dangerous as the Tank but as spongy as the Icarus Strogg types.
Another Strogg type I seem to can get the concept behind is the Toaster. A horrifically crazed looking Strogg with a heat based weapon. Posture can resemble a midget with a burned skin complexion.
Another Strogg type, The Alerted. A Strogg type that alerts other nearby Strogg as its most unique trait. Strogg is modified after a captured marine equipped with a Hyper Blaster. As tough as the Gladiator Strogg types.
