It is time for those of us in the United States who can legally own firearms to be armed

I live in a red state, in kind of a purplish area. White collar job, mostly upper middle class WASPs and a few Jews and Asians along with me. The things I have heard just in casual conversation and seen have thoroughly convinced me that all of us need to be trained in self defense and armed before legal barriers are put up that stop "undesirables" from purchasing. This has already happened to transgender people and it can absolutely happen to us. I am not saying that we need to form a militia or become an anti government force, but it is time for us to confront our cultural aversion to conflict and understand that historically these situations have rarely ended without violence. Everyone needs, at the minimum, a handgun and training on how to use it, ideally a CCW license, but most importantly a change in mindset and the willingness to protect our families and communities. When the time comes, you and I are already on the list. Make no mistake.

Am I paranoid for wanting a CCW with a manual safety? Will I actually get kilt in the street?

I currently carry a Canik MC9 prime (pre cocked striker with a trigger safety), I'm comfortable with it and have thousands of rounds through it without any issues. I'd say I'm OK and can hold a fist sized group at 15 yards with it, but as always there is room for improvement. All this being said, that guy that shot his ball off kind of made me think I should carry my HK45 Compact. Am I being dumb? Also does anyone have a good source for an HK45C holster?

What counts as a good living in Great Falls?

I have a job lined up potentially but I'm a bit hesitant to take it given that Montana seems... kind of expensive now? I'd be bringing my spouse and a few cats, renting for the foreseeable future. We don't need much, a bit more space and a yard for once in my life might be nice though.
