Richard Hammond doesn’t seem to appear as much on TV anymore, whereas Clarkson and James May still show up. He only really has his car workshop show.

So if you were Richard Hammond’s agent, what would you do to get him back in the limelight again?

Personally I would try to push ITV to sign him for the next series of I’m A Celeb. Then Richard Hammond could use I’m A Celeb to become a game show host again, like when he used to do Total Wipeout.

If a U.S. company like Universal ever decided to make a movie based on Coronation Street, how do you think they would do it?

Personally I would imagine it being a comedy drama focusing on one or two characters with the others as supporting characters rather than an ensemble piece with multiple storylines. Maybe a film focused on David Platt and Maria Connor going on a road trip together to find a long lost heirloom of Audrey Roberts’. Kind of like those direct to DVD films they used to do but on a bigger budget.

With the existence of physical media being constantly threatened, will we see a vinyl-esque revival of VHS?

At one point, I would have said no, but nowadays I can imagine a future where people look for new VHS tapes out of nostalgia. Similarly to vinyl, VHS is unreliable compared to other formats like DVD and Blu-ray as it can be easy for tapes to jam, but the rough picture quality could lead some to seeing the image as offering more of an authentic visual.

Personally I think when Doctor Who goes to competitive tender, DC Studios should bid to produce the show.

I don't have much of an opinion on Peter Saffran, but I think James Gunn would do a fantastic job with Doctor Who. The writing and directorial style he used for the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies would be perfect for the show. He has a very Douglas Adams-esque quality to his writing, and there's nothing to say that DC Studios couldn't also make non-DC content.

DC Studios should bid but also say that they will keep production in our country of the UK. Don't move it to America.

What were your biggest surprises from last night’s BGT final?

For me, the biggest surprise was Anastasia And Salsa coming third. I voted for them as they were my favourites but I wasn’t expecting them to do very well. I thought they would come either sixth, seventh or eighth. The fact that they came in third place above bookies’ favourites like Ted Hill and Sonny Green shows how much of an impact their performance had last night.

Does anyone else find it weird that Anti-Gravity did not get the public vote?

They were the favourites to win. Ted Hill wasn’t. Yet he won and Anti-Gravity didn’t.

Did Simon Cowell deliberately try to influence the vote by giving noticeably more positive feedback to Ted Hill and saying Anti-Gravity wouldn’t win?
