Dual booting 2 linux distro and have no idea on how to use GRUB

I've been trying to look up tutorials and its so messy. Is there a link or article that specifically works for 2 Linux distros.

The first one is Fedora 44 workstation.

Second one is Bazzite.

I need a step by step as my brain is so done with these issues✋🏻🫠💀

In another post of mine people tried to help but me but I'm still so comfused on what am I supposed to copy from the config file?? I don't wanna break it more that's another hell TvT

I had posted it on Linux for noobs though i guess i didn't use the flair right or made a mistake somewhere as it got deleted so.

I'm trying to dual boot 2 linux distros but it keeps using EFI of the first one. What am I doing wrong?

The first installed distro is fedora 44 workstation and second one I'm trying to install is Bazzite.

I've never tried it before so I don't know why it keeps using the first one's efi sda1 even when I selected it already in the mount options :\

What are / and /var for? And how much required storage do they need?

I'm trying to download Bazzite so it has a different partition for /var. What is in / and /var? and where do apps get installed?

And how much minimum I should give them? If say I have 250 GB?

How much storage does each part of it needs to have?

I want to use around 250 GB only so how much does each needs to have? I'm new to Bazzite btw so I wanna be sure yeah. Thanks!

What is the need for a local account during installation?

I'm new to Bazzite and I haven't ever seen an account option this way in other distros so I wanna be sure what it does.

My gpu doesn't have steam gaming mode. Will I be able to still game in the desktop mode?

What would I be missing out on? And should this be a reason to switch distros?

Is this hard drive a dud or am I doing something wrong that is causing some information to be missing?

I've bought an exact one before which now I'm using as an internal drive and that's showing full information in all of these apps. I've connected this one using a USB cable though.

S.M.A.R.T test says no information found

Where do I go from here? I have a 1TB HDD externally connected using a USB cable

Is it possible to use this as an internal drive for my laptop? What can I do to make it possible?

This was in the portable shell so I wanna know if I can do something to use it for my laptop internally. If it isn't possible let me know. I just wanted to make a post before making any steps.

Can I use HDD from my portable passport external as an internal drive for my laptop?

So, I have a Seagate portable 1TB HDD. I know the cover is openable so I have a question if I can use that one and add it internally in my laptop or do I have to buy a specifically internal HDD for it.

For some reason Seagate barracuda internal drives keep coming up and they're more expensive than the one I have the portable Seagate drive.

Trying to replace my laptop's old HDD with a new SSD. How do I get started?

I have a Dell laptop and my old hard drive died which was 1TB now I'll be doing it for the first time so I have questions.

  1. How do I know which physical size would fit in my laptop?

  2. Can I replace the now 1 TB HDD with a new 500 GB SSD? Does the drive's storage have an impact? (as I can't afford a 1TB SSD too expensive).

  3. What are the first things I have to do after getting an internal SSD? (testing if its a good product as I'm ordering from Amazon so I return if its a bad one etc).

  4. What video tutorial / article are good to see so I can safely do the job by myself?

  5. Are there any materials/tools I should also get that are needed to replace the drive and why are they needed? (I saw some mention of ifixit?).

  6. What mistakes I should avoid or what precautions I should be taking?

Lastly, is there anything else I'm missing?

Thanks!
