I’ve been using some Amazon stuff to do soldering for a minute here. The tips are starting to erode, so I’m looking to upgrade. What’s the best novice type soldering equipment I could get? I don’t do micro-soldering if that helps.
Picked up a Wells Gardner K7302 to toss in a Pac-Man cabinet a while back. Replaced all the capacitors in it to fix dimness, but now I’m hearing popping coming from under the anode cap. Additionally, the monitor’s horizontal adjustment won’t go centered in far enough. Based on that, I think I gotta replace the flyback, which I can at least acquire from what I’ve seen. Would I even need to do that, and would it be particularly hard to?
