Class for first time player

I imagine this is asked a ton, so sorry for that but i'm being quite picky.

I have little experience with crpg and this is my first real attempt to play one and I was planning on playing both bg1 and bg2. I wanted something that felt powerful, was "easy" to play as and if I can be picky, would be chaotic good for roleplaying reasons.

Paladins seems great but I don't love the idea of being lawful good and archers, while being very powerful gameplay wise, don't really give you that "cool main character hero" vibe since they stay behind and don't really show much signs of "power" (feel free to change my mind though!!).

Any tips are appreciated too <3 :)

Problems with modding on the new version

I played the game for some time, around 50 hours, a few months back with the mod to restore the old cut scenes. Unfortunately the mod seems broken because of the new version, i rolled back to 2.6 on the steam launcher but when I install the mod, the just won't open, no error message, nothing. I deleted all the files created by the game from my computer, both on the steam directory and the docs. Still, the game won't open when I have that mod on, even if I went to the version I was playing before.

Any help would be appreciated <3

Iberia in Elder Scrolls

I know races in elder scrolls take inspiration in many real life populations and there are no one on ones, but i'd like to know if the iberia peninsula had any big impact on any of the races (as in, inspired any, to some extent) and what race more closely resembles the people of thar area. My guess would be either bretons or imperials (though i wouldn't be able to tell which "branch" of imperial), since iberia were both part of the roman empire and share a lot of culture and even their respective languages come from it, on the other hand iberia had a very classical medieval europe aesthetic aswell and they share a lot in common with france/bretons aswell and even celtic cultures, the main inspirations of bretons and could argue genetically are more similiar too (?) Than with romans/greeks/italians

Redguards might too have take some inspiration from iberia as well but of that im not so sure

Would love to hear your thought ^^ <3
