Hey ya'll, what are some short stories (short story collections) where the story is like a guy or gal who hates their job (or doesn't hate) and the story is them working the job. Examples: Bukowski's Post Office (novel, but same type of vibe) and a lot of Sam Pink stories. As such, looking for recommendations that aren't Bukowski or Sam Pink. Kinda gritty, minimalist, this is my jobbbbb stories.

Ideally, the story would be avail online for free, but if exclusively as part of physical collections, that's cool too.

Thanks.

Hi all, I am writing a fiction story that requires me to identify who the least relevant member of Jacob's wolfpack is (or I guess could be Sam's). Has to be someone that is in the movies, named in the movies, but has basically the least plot relevance, screentime, etc. The movies are primary, but they should also be relatively irrelevant in the books.

Who do you think this would be in your opinion?
