Anybody dealing with MCAS and Afib as a combo? How’s life?

Hi, last weekend I (21, M) ended up in hospital for something unrelated to MCAS for once 😭 but essentially I’m now being told I have paroxysmal afib. I think this is all a result of long covid, but I find it to be a real shame and I’m kind of shattered about it because my world already felt small, and I just felt I was beginning to be confident in managing it. And now it feels like it just got smaller. Especially at my age when most of my peers are travelling/starting work/dating etc I feel so limited.

I know afib isnt a death sentence by any means but it just feels like yet another potential hazard I have to consider when I walk out the door every day, and I feel kind of like a nervous wreck. Any experiences managing both MCAS and Afib? Thanks.

Not necessarily answers to be fair, just advice-

I (M21) had an episode of afib on friday morning apparently caused by low phosphate that was corrected in hospital by an IV. Today I went for a walk and felt a bit lightheaded so I did an apple watch ECG and it showed “Atrial Fibrillation” but to me it doesn’t look like that? I went back to the hospital and the doctor said it was to difficult to tell…
If it is, I guess maybe this means it wasn’t just the phosphate (or my body is still catching up)

M21 hospitalised with paroxysmal afib having never had heart issues outside POTS. Hospital reckon it’s been caused by low phosphate and have put me on and supplements and that its unlikely to recur if levels normalise. Anyone else seen/had anything similar?
