Canonical Support

Does Ubuntu’s support normally suck this bad?

I work at a university and signed up for the support, they sent me an email inviting me to landscape and it’s been 3 days. Sent an email almost an hour after they invited me and I had issues, and zero communication. Emailed the sales rep and she said she’d forward to support and it’s been over 24 hours even since she forwarded it.

I have almost no licenses and it’s heavily discounted because it’s academic, but still. Wtf. 3 days and nothing?

Curious - Neighbor Issue

Hopefully this is allowed, mainly curious if others have a similar issue.

I have a side awning, a pull out privacy screen, it’s not the best screen but it works well enough. It’s not a solid material, I noticed there is some light leakage, I have a 1000 lumen projector, it’s nothing crazy. My neighbor seems annoyed that there is light hitting the side of their house, I’m on a corner so my backyard faces their side, so there is a small amount of light hitting their house and I guess when things are moving on the “screen” light shifts around, it’s not a solid light like a porch light. Hopefully that makes sense, as people move around the scene, the light that slightly escapes shifts.

Anyone else have someone say something? We’re taking very small amounts of light and I get people’s headlights hit my window and I just have curtains and shades.

To comply with the rules, I’m in the southeast(ga/al) and my outdoor space is 14x15 ish.

Best Sound? Under $300 USD

Trying to figure out a projector that might have powerful enough speakers for use with a hot tub. The hot tub area is just 15x14 and I’m projecting onto a privacy screen, nothing great.

I bought a xgimi mogo 2 but I can’t possibly hear audio with the hot tub. I was debating on a Soundcore p1i since you can at least aim the speakers, it’s around the same power but directional might help, it’s $299.

Any suggestions? Located in the US.

Secure Romex in NM 3 Hole Box

How do you secure romex in a 3 hole nm box? Normally I’d use it with conduit, but I’m just surface mounting the box with a in use cover and passing a small amount of romex from inside, the closest outlet. The nm box I have has a punch out and is threaded, not just a hole like a metallic box.

I’m using it for landscaping lighting, so no major amp draw, the only other outlet won’t work because of its location.
