So I know people are gonna probably yell at me for this but I need y'all's help in getting his set up 10x better. We have had him for almost a year now, and he was originally in a 40 gallon tank with 2 big hides and one small one, but we had to downgrade him due to his disabilities he had before we rescued him. Now he's in a 20 gallon long with 3 hides, 1 large, 1 med, and 1 small. I usually have a shallow dish in there for his powder so he can eat it when he wants and or the crickets happen to run through it when feeding. He has a good size water dish that he can run through, if need be, and drink out of. He has carpet because the other substrate we tried he couldn't move around on easily because he is missing a lot of toes and his legs muscles/joints have formed weird so it makes it hard for him to move around efficiently. I bought these fake plants to give his enclosure some fun pops of color and greenery and I thought about adding some air plants as well. I am awful at cluttering up tanks and spaces and decorating so I just need help making his enclosure something he would really enjoy. I do believe though he is a very happy and healthy lizard, I can always post a picture of him if y'all want, but I'm just curious on what I can improve on.

How do I tell when shes hungry better? I usually take the rat out and wave it near her and if theres enough interest I thaw it and I'm usually right, but RN she's giving me interest but it just seems like curious interest and not hunger. I only have two rats left in my freezer one never been thawed and the other has been thawed and re frozen only once. I wanna be sure she's hungry before I thaw a rat. The last time she ate was about 2 to 3 weeks ago and she's very wishy washy if she wants to eat or not. I just want some advice if there is a better way to tell or do I have to play the guessing game on this one?
