Me when I realized romantic love isn’t the same as really liking some one

I was watching David tennant on the graham Norton show and thought about how David being shock about the egg plant emoji is similar to how I realized that romantic love is its own emotion

No more racing thoughts for the first time in forever

Ive had racing thoughts (which was caused by anxiety) since I was probably 11 (I’ve had them for as long as I remember tbh) and I’m now 18. I’ve also been on adhd medication since I was like 13 and the medication made my anxiety worse but I just started a new adhd medication and after a day of being on the medication I realized my mind is quite. It’s so weird to me which is crazy that I now have to get used to not overthinking everything. I really wanted to share the news with people since I have a hard time talking about with my relatives. It’s amazing I’ve also stopped picking at my skin as much and my face is healing finally.

I was told to get a boyfriend the other day

I was talking with my dad the other day about how I want to foster and adopt and th first thing he said to me is you need to get a boyfriend before you can foster and adopt. ( he doesn’t know I’m aro ace and I will probably never tell him) but it really makes me mad when I’m asked oh when are you going to date someone especially when my aunt and uncle or cousin bring it up (no one but a few friends know I’m aro ace since I don’t trust half my family of being accepting) but I hate the in when I’m asked “are you gonging to date and marry someone” like it’s something that’s just inevitable.

Also when I told my dad that you dont need to be married to foster he was like no thats not true?????

This is really just a rant. right now I have a lot of drama going on in my life and I really can’t complain (about the how annoying being told I need to date as someone who is aro ace and has no interest in a relationship) with anyone in my life since I’m not out.

Does anyone else get a little bit annoyed when you say you are a fan of an actor and the other persons first question is are they cute

For some context I can’t have a graduation party after graduation for some reasons I rather not say because it’s really stupid, I only say this cause I was talking to my therapist how I might use I’m not throwing a party (thus saving money) and my parents promising me that I could pick a graduation trip as my gift so i can travel to meet this one actor at a meet and greet and the first thing my therapist asked me after I told them who I wanted to meet was “is he cute” which I know when people say this it’s not supposed to be taken as “oh do you think there attractive ” like I would say he’s ok looking but he already has a wife and kids and is like 55 ( i get weirded out sometimes when someone loves a actor because they find them attractive but that actor is already married and has kids around the same age of you) why can’t I just like him for his personality what does looks have to do with anything. He could be ugly for all I care, I love him because of his support for the lgbtq+ community and is a strong advocate for them he is one of the sweetest person alive and like everyone he was worked with always talk about how lovely he is ( I just realized I’m going on a rant gushing over the actor but I’m not deleting that part because I’m lazy and I like what a wrote lol and don’t feel like adding this to the subreddit about him)

Also sorry about it being a little long
