I've been reading comments about my Word Aligner https://aligner.tinygods.dev app and identified some problems that users experience. So I've made some changes to (hopefully) solve them.

Now:

- added auto-fit. long phrases are automatically shrinked to fit the canvas. the phase is never broken into multiple lines. auto-fit can be disabled in style settings if you prefer old behavior (full manual control).

- the canvas is bigger now and supports zoom (ctrl + scroll on desktop, pinch on mobile)

- added mobile menu to avoid scroll to access controls

- interface layout is reworked

- token separators config is now more visible, also buy default only "|" is a separator

Also some new features:

- style presets with different visual effects

- more fonts and color palettes

- optional custom color selections for each group (from a palette)

- API, MCP and agent skill - you can install it using the guide from https://aligner.tinygods.dev/skill and ask you agent to create alignments.

As always, I'm open to your feedback in any relevant form and will continue to work to improve the app's usability.

I was tired of making cards carousels by hand in complex visual editors, so I've made an app that allows to make it in seconds.

Just paste or type the text, and it will be split into cards ready for export and posting. Base editor including export can be used without registration, an account allows saving projects, pro version has more visual polish configs, cloud storage for assets and integration with Buffer to create posts directly from the editor in several clicks.

I made a mistake and upgraded my system from 22 to 24 without any research. Don't do that. I wasn't aware that Cosmic DE lacks many features that I consider to be substantial. Anyways, after some trial and error I've managed to restore most of the behaviors I need. So here I share how it was done (maybe will be useful for someone). Things I found missing after the upgrade and managed to somewhat recreate:

- hot corner. it was very substantial for me. works with waycorner (though without any animations)

- language change indication - I have 3 languages and was missing the gnome overlay which appears in the middle of the screen. Works with some hacks, as shown in my repo.

- caps + 1, 2, 3, etc. language selector - specific combo for a specific language. was able to restore.

Things I'm still missing the most (please share your insights if you were able to solve this):

- workspace screen lack any transition animations when scrolling through workspaces - this takes away the visual indication of the movement direction which is very annoying, I just don't know how they publish it without this feature, but I don't know how to recreate it...

- workspace screen is messy and ugly as hell. so it goes, I guess.

- it is not possible to drag and drop open windows to add new workspaces between or above existing once. quite annoying.

It's Dani, the creator of https://aligner.tinygods.dev tool. I've seen that lots of people here have used my tool which is very heartwarming, thanks you for the the support!

I've deployed new version of the tool - it contains lots of requested features and fixes that people wrote me about. The changes are:

- multiple lines supports. Now you can add many lines - that can be used as needed: multiple languages, glosses, transcription and what not.

- each line is now configured separately. Connectors may be shown or hidden for each pair.

- added ability to tokenize punctuation as people requested and group words into 1 token (with + sign by default), also added support for RtL writing systems.

- fixed bugs like custom font ligatures problem, color palette malfunction on longer sentences, and so on.

- export resolution is now configurable and can be increased up to x6 (in the export card) to support longer sentences.

- added more examples and about page with instructions and explanations.

If something is missing or malfunctioning, write me here in the comments or in the feedback form on the site. Mobile support is still not great, I'm working on it.
