How much faster are super 200tw tires than pilot sport 4s?

Recently ran a 69 second lap as my fastest, how much would I realistically expect to shave off on a course of similar length with something like kumhos or even re71s.

Edit: thanks all, sounds like around 3 seconds which would have had me pretty squarely in the competition. Looks like my wallet will be getting a bit lighter soon.

I didn’t believe the curse.

Not even a week after taking it off the lot.

Obviously my fault but I’ve never hit anything in any other car. Got a touch too close to the edge of the road trying to leave space for oncoming traffic and met a mailbox with the side mirror.

Bummed but it could have been worse. No damage to the rest of the car at all.

Second wheel tire set opinions.

Going to be getting a new EN soon if I can get the deal I want but I was hoping to get some opinions on a current dilemma.

I will be tracking and auto-crossing the car so I want a set of wheels and tires for daily driving and one for track and auto cross. I’m thinking of getting some dws06 plus for daily duty( snows where I live and I can’t fit two extra wheels and tires) and a set of 200tw tires for track.

The question is, should I put the sticky set on the OEM 19s, or get a second set of 18s for the track tires and do the all seasons on the OEM 19s.

I guess I’d like to know if there is any advantage to 18s for track and auto cross that would outweigh the extra comfort they give for daily driving.

Thanks, excited to do some driving in one of these.

To track the daily, or wait and buy a dedicated track car?

Looking for some advice and opinions from folks who have done the daily/track car dance. I currently drive a 2024 gti with some light mods but after a few autox and track days it’s clear I’m at a crossroads. The car isn’t where I want it as far as performance is concerned so I either need to put more into it or look for a dedicated track car. Trouble is, I don’t have any space for a second car right now.

I can imagine myself doing oil cooling, coilovers, etc to the golf, but things like track alignment, weight reduction, etc make me wonder if it’s even worth it in the long run.

Let me know your thoughts.

Edit:

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and input. I think I know the answer for now, give the golf a little love, just enough to make it work, and get a few track days in with a track car as a longer term goal. Kinda what I was expecting, but also got a lot of good advice and input as well.

Thanks! If anyone goes to Palmer, you might see me there!
