Dear expats, how was your first week?

How was the first week for you in Dubai when you just moved in? How did it feel? How was the experience?

Hi everyone, I want to move out of Italy to UAE, but I do not know what salary I'd earn, I have some contacts in blue chip companies, if I move it will be only after finding a job before of course.. can y'all give some advice? (please not "don't come to UAE")

22 yr old male
BBA from Italy's first business school
Double master's degree in International Marketing & Sales across 2 top ranked universities from Rome & Valencia

About experience, I've worked in an Import & Export position, in which I've built €160K annualized run rate and €76K revenue in 8 months in my KPI

Summer internship in a blue chip company (like p&g, reckitt etc.)

And other than this, 1 yrs of sales rep. experience

Fluent in 4 languages + currently learning Russian

The reason I want to move out is because of taxes because it is annoying when you pay 35-40% of your salary but receive nothing in return...

But a lot of people told me not to even think about this, why?
