I’m in the middle of reading The Great Ordeal. I had to take a little break and I want to refresh my memory on the first 10 chapters. Is there any spoiler free chapter summary available for it? The wiki summaries are incomplete unfortunately.
I’ve been looking to get into vinyl and have been debating what turntable to start with. Initially I wanted something more expensive and upgradeable with no built-in preamp, but since I’d need the full setup (turntable, preamp, amp, speakers, accessories), the cost adds up fast.
Now I found the AT-LP60X at a local electronics store for 30% off, which has me reconsidering. I’m thinking it might be a good starter table that I can later sell and upgrade from if I get deeper into the hobby.
Since it has a built-in preamp, could I just pair it with some decent active desktop speakers and be good to go?
Would you recommend this route for a beginner? Also open to suggestions for smaller desktop speakers since space is limited.
