hello friendly maui folks 😄i'd not selfishly bother y'all but this travel stuff is so over our heads
My spouse and I are more introverted, working class, nature-y type folks looking to treat ourselves as a deferred honeymoon / getting our grad degrees. We have basically never been able to travel for the whole last decade, and we want to be realistic and respectful visitors.
Is it a bad idea to try and do a split 7 days with most of the time in Kapalua or Wailea and then a couple days in Hana? Should we just stay on the west side the whole time?
The Hana-Maui resort has oceanfront bungalows that look sooo charming. I'd love to be able to fall asleep to the waves. But maybe there's somewhere we can do that on the west side and not have to stress ourselves out with a split itinerary?
Plus we're having a tough time picking between west-side places. Ritz is #1 right now, but I hear great things about the FS (probs too pricey sadly), Grand Wailea (too family-ish?), and the Fairmont. Andaz seems more mixed.
We're absolutely going to feel like fish out of water probably at any of these though lol
