Pretty much I need a strong laptop for University as I will need to run Unreal engine 5 and Modelling software on it. I also would like something to play games on. I settled on getting a laptop instead of a PC, as I'll need to bring it between my home and my university a couple of times a year and its a lot easier with a laptop than a pc.

I'm looking for a high spec machine, and I have found one by this company that has a RTX 5090, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32gb RAM, 2TB SSD, 300hz 16" QHD Screen at £2600. This all sounds great and I can't find issues online around the laptop or previous laptops by the company but it lays so much lower in price compared to other similar specced on the market.

If anyone has some tips on these specific machines or alternatives that would be good without breaking the bank that would be greatly appreciated. 👍

I've been looking into getting a gaming laptop for university as I need something strong to do 3D modelling and of course playing games. I need an upgrade as my PC has finally reached a point where it struggles to run anything.

I did a ton of research and landed on the Acer Predator 18" or 16". Personally I would like the larger screen but the 16" is currently at a 23% discount (cutting of around £400). They have identical specs apart from the screen size (16gb ram, intel ultra 9 275hx, 5070 ti).

The only issue I have is that the reviews on amazon aren't great, with a lot of reviews talking about crashing and a lot of bloatware unable to be removed. Just thought I'd ask some people a bit more knowledgable on the device than me. Thanks
