Yesss

Loving this new hobby—so therapeutic. Proud of these builds.

Idk that I’m interested in brands other than Rolife (even though I missed the 5/$200 deal ☹️)

What’s your favorite kit?

This is my fifth and favorite build so far. What’s yours?

Arranging as you go?

What’s your favorite part of the miniature building process? I’m clearly obsessed in general, but I especially love arranging little scenes as I go.

Tips for customization

Hello, all! I’m new to this (third build) and want to dive in to customizing kits before building my own.

This kit I just finished (standard with slight modifications) was my favorite so far, so I’m open to using this shell, but not tied to it.

Any tips for getting started with customizations, especially inexpensively? I’m aiming for hyperrealistic next time

Third build! How to customize?

I’m new to this, but increasingly obsessed and grateful for this helpful community.

Here’s my question: I love the difficult Rolife kits and want to further customize the next one. Any recs on how to get started with custom elements, especially without spending a ton?

(Don’t mind the mangled light fixture. I may or may not have broken it three times before discovering the “sand the edges” tip on here.)

New Obsession

I’m brand new here and am wrapping up my second kit build (Cathy’s then Emily’s). I love the garden theme and am starting to dabble in more hyper realistic plants.

I’m posting because (1) I’m really excited about this and hope you all will offer general suggestions, and (2) I’d love advice on what kit to do next. Is it too soon for me to use one as a shell and customize everything else? Better to take a simpler book nook and add some custom elements? I already know I prefer Rolife and didn’t mind the detailed nature of Emily’s, but what about when I run out of Rolife kits?

Thanks for your advice!

Peaceful Protest Question

Genuine curiosity (please don’t come for me): Would it be helpful or harmful for local organizers to coordinate with nearby localities on their peaceful protests?

I wonder because ours are always so well attended, but that’s not the case for a lot of the surrounding areas. For instance, a nearby community rarely has more than twenty people show out, and the general public there point to low turnout as a sign of how few people oppose the Trump administration.

Anyways. I see pros and cons. Thoughts?
