Automatic or Manual?

I'm leaning towards automatic, but sometimes feel like I'll regret not getting manual.

I have been driving a manual car for the past few years and after a long work day on my feet I absolutely hate shifting because my feet hurt like hell (I also have weak ankles). This is the main reason for wanting an automatic. But a manual would probably be more fun and would make it less likely to be stolen when i'm out and about around town. I may mod it eventually, but won't be anything crazy. I don't plan on tracking it.

Any automatic people here? Do you regret it?

Planning to get one, what is the best time?

ETA: I will be looking at older models.

I'm planning to get a Z this year. Not in a rush. Originally I was thinking I should wait till fall to hopefully get the best deal. But I'm also kind of getting impatient, especially seeing all the cars here. I have bought cars before, but very basic cars so I have no clue what the market is like for this type of car. Please advise me, would waiting till fall help me get a good deal? Or should I just get it now?
