I worked here for almost 3 years. They hired a pedophile and don't even do background checks. Donated clothes with mouse crap all over them, we would be told to just put the mouse crap in the garbage and the clothes are still good to be sold. The most gross job I ever had. Management is corrupt but more specficially the store manager Matthew, since everything happens under his watch. I had a transgender supervisor put a adult, phone controlled sex toy in my coworkers body and would control the settings with his phone. I have countless stories of this place and how gross the clothes are they sell there. Now they are banning a boy with disabilities from the store.
I was doing night shift for a year and 7 months as a overnight stocker. Hated every minute of it. Basically all i did was sleep when I would be home, family and friends who have never worked nights didn't understand the struggle, barely made it to the gym, eating habits changed and felt depressed all the time.
The night shift at my job started with 7 people and after so many people getting fired it was just down to me and 1 other guy. The guy i worked with put in a request for days so they cancled the night shift completely and we both got moved to days.
I thought having a life again was going to be hrest but all the things you have to deal with during the day makes the night shift superior. I know every job is different my for my job, I have a lot more responsibilities and things I have to do now for customers. Managers are everywhere bugging you and constantly asking you to pick up shifts. I went from simply stocking shelves to having to do 10x more stuff. Bring in shopping carts, do price checks, do cold pick ups, receive trucks coming in, answer grocery inquires when people call, answer and help customers when there looking for stuff even though I only work 1 department, search the back for products if they ask me too, do propane exchanges, do product exchanges if something is damaged. It's honestly basic stuff but when your not a people person and now your forced to work around thousands of people everyday and talk to them and your coming from nights where you csn just listene to music and work, it's dreadful having to go in everyday. I'm trying to woek and I got kids riding bicycles, people blocking isles, people walking at a snails pace and your trapped behind them.
I hate night shift but after being on days for 3 months now, I can say night shift is a better option. It's highly depenent on your job though, but for a grocery store, night shift was way better.
Hey so there is a good sale that's ongoing where there is a 50 percent off code for most clothes. I spent 178 CAD. The box was light as feather when I got it. Inside the box was a invoice paper for my order but no clothes. I contacted support and they launched a investigation into it. After 3 days they told me to contact the courier. I contacted the delivery service and they told me they didn't tampered with the package. Underarmour basically said sorry, you need to take this up with the delivery service and gave me the finger. I'm out 178 dollars now. I wouldn't trust ordering from them online, super shady company. Forced to do a chargeback now. Anyone else get screwed over by them?
