Hi everyone!
As the title says, I just picked up the Dr. Martens Ultimate Care Kit (pictured below). I’ve built up a small collection with a few pairs of Docs now, but I am a complete beginner when it comes to proper leather care and maintenance, and I really don't want to ruin any of them.
Does anyone have a "for dummies" step-by-step guide on how to use the items in this kit most effectively? Like, how often should I use the Wonder Balsam? When does the Ultra Protector spray come in? Any general tips would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I have a specific question regarding wear and tear. A couple of my pairs are starting to show some scuffs on the toes, and I’ve seen people mention using "shoe paint" to touch them up instead of just colored polish/cream. Is shoe paint actually recommended for Dr. Martens leather, or is it better to stick to standard polish? If paint is the way to go, do you have any specific brands or techniques you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your help and advice! 🖤
Hi everyone!
I'm currently looking for physical stores, boutiques, or local markets in the Houston area that sell Goth, dark alternative, or post-punk fashion/accessories.
I’m already aware of chain stores like Hot Topic, but I'd really prefer to support local small businesses, vintage shops, or alt-friendly boutiques.
Does anyone have any recommendations for local spots, thrift/vintage shops with good dark/alt selections, or recurring monthly markets in Houston?
Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions! 🖤
I couldn't resist the classic yellow stitching and the embossed logo on this cardholder. It feels super solid. What’s the verdict on DM's small leather goods? Does anyone else use their wallets or accessories daily?
