Time Trials

Time Trials/Time Attack has always been one of my favorite parts of Sonic games and CrossWorlds is no different. However, I wish there was more incentive to go beyond the A ranks. You only need A ranks to unlock all the music and S ranks are only required for extra challenges that give you a title when you finish them all. I think unlockable titles for leaderboard positions could be a nice addition, like "E-Stadium Top 100", "Magma Planet Top 50" or "Holoska Top 10". Something to show off that you've spent time mastering the tracks. I think it could get more people playing and practicing and eventually getting better at the game. What do you guys think?

Blizzard Valley SSS 2:14:073

Discovering I like Blizzard Valley a lot more when I'm not playing online. 34 on all platforms and 3rd on Xbox is pretty good.

I can't exactly make a dump truck but this is good enough

I don't think I care about rank anymore, I'm just chilling in my pink truck. How are you guys feeling about World Match?

DS Yoshi Falls Fast Staff Ghost

I've been in a Mario Kart Wii mood so I'm racing fast staff ghosts. I don't know how to do any of the ultra shortcuts or cool stuff but I love this game and I love seeing how I've improved since I was a kid. I don't love Yoshi Falls though, this course kinda sucks tbh

My Track and Character Tier Lists

Obligatory "It's only my opinion, not facts or a personal attack on anyone or their tastes". Tiers aren't ordered but I'd say my favorite track is Mystic Jungle, favorite CrossWorld is Kraken Bay. Least favorites are Pac-Village and Hidden World.

Minato Girls

You guys were right, easily the best substory I've done so far. Are there any more standout substories in Pirate Yakuza?

Finished Pirate Yakuza

Took about 30 hours from start to finish, haven't gotten all the achievements yet but I'm working on it. As someone who's new to the series, I really enjoyed it! Definitely a gameplay first game which isn't a bad thing to me. It's slow to start but really opens up in Chapter 2 and 3. I wasn't expecting the last cutscene. For a game that's been pretty absurd the whole time, that was a real moment and I want to know what it will lead to. Combat is fast and combos are satisfying to pull off, ship combat is less enjoyable but quick enough once you max out your ship and there's a lot more mini games than I expected. I was especially delighted by Dragon Kart, I love stupid kart racer mini games. Love it in Sonic Adventure 2, loved it in Mortal Kombat Armageddon and I love it here. Next check, I'm definitely picking up another game. Absolutely a fan.

Continuing Pirate Yakuza

Much has happened since my last post. I fought a bear, met a guy who kinda looked like Asian Arin Hanson, made my way to Madlantis where I played carnival games where things explode, went to Honolulu and was greeted by assholes, watched a palm tree fail to get laid, got a cat and two dogs and started collecting bounties and crewmates so we don't get turned into hot meat paste by pirates. I'm also serving unprecedented levels of cunt.

Playing Pirate Yakuza for the first time

I've never played a Yakuza game before but I've been playing Majima in CrossWorlds and when I saw Pirate Yakuza on gamepass I figured I should try it. So far I've washed up on the shore like Koraidon, met a white kid and his fantastic kitty cat, beat up some larpers, played Fantasy Zone, made breakfast, bought a hot dog for hot dog emergencies, acquired a pet chicken who I was disappointed I couldn't name myself and became a pirate captain. I'm still on chapter one. This shit rules.

How many S ranks are possible gadgetless?

I did a run of Kronos Island SSS gadgetless out of curiosity and now I'm wondering just how many S ranks can be done gadgetless. I'll see how many I can do but I think a better player could probably do them all.

What happened here?

What's going on with the minimap, that threw my whole race off. It was like that for the first lap too but Holoska was fine.

Sonic 1 themed car

Wish we could layer decals so I could make a Green Hill sort of pattern but the gradient from the title screen will do. Might swap the stars on the front for a checkerboard decal for the sides.

Legend Competition 5

Calling it there for tonight but I'm actually enjoying this round. I never realized how many annoying gadgets are two slots. Maybe I'll actually try to hit Emerald this time.

All the ones that count for the challenge anyway. Hardest ones were Wonder Museum SS and Metal Harbor SSS. Dinosaur Jungle SSS and White Cave SS were also difficult. Easiest were Kronos Island SS and SSS but Holoska SSS and Radical Highway SS were pretty easy too.
