Caved in..

Finally joined Dia after over 4 years on Arc. Few things I instantly miss so far:

  • Little Arc / tiny window for quick searches
  • Being able to type a website like YouTube, hit *tab which allows you to search within YouTube or Reddit, etc. - this is such an essential feature that I wish they bring back. Within context or speedy workflows, this is a game-changer
  • Workspaces - just... why take away?
  • Cleaning up tabs - not the auto-delete feature, but the "sweeping" animation that auto-sorts all of your tabs. On days that I open a couple dozen tabs for saving later, this was so helpful in organizing and being to close out groups if I was done with them.

Anyways, hoping that these things are reinstated and I'd be happy to take any suggestions on workflow upgrades from Arc that I don't know about yet, or any other resources/channels that give some deep workflow guides on Dia. I had joined at the initial launch but it was missing too many essentials at the time, so I uninstalled within an hour. So I don't have previous newsletters/updates to go off of.

Welp.. here's to hopefully building a cool browser and keeping it around this time.

Running some wiring through my home for 2 planned 4k outdoor cameras and a UniFi G4 Pro doorbell camera and the team is running Cat 5e cabling rather than my preferred Cat 6. I was out for lunch and came back to it already ran through so I'm not going to ask them to rerun everything.

Is that completely fine for my setup or should I be worried about limited capabilities? I don't really plan on running anymore cameras and I have 1g fiber internet currently and might go up to 2g eventually.

I have OCD personality with stuff like this. Other cabling in the house to the UniFi setup is Cat 6.

Hi, all - I've contacted several plumbers and gotten way too many differing opinions and I'm officially at the bottom of the well on selecting a whole house filtration system for our home.

We have hard water as you can see in the test results and we want a rock solid carbon filtration for drinking, water safety, etc. and also some soft of softener to reduce the hardness and protect our newer piping throughout the home. We also get quite a bit of sediment (not sure if that makes a difference on the system).

I've been advised on the Halo 5 system from a plumber, but after reviewing and reading, I'm very nervous that that's an extreme markup product from most plumbers. After researching myself, I've seen great things from the SpringWell CF1 line for carbon filtering, but have also been told that's just a Clack rebranding (confusing me more). I'd probably go with SpringWell, but do they make a good softener pairing (FS1)? Or go with a different softener (Pelican NaturSoft NS6)?

As you can see, I just starting going in circles after getting a differing product and opinion from everyone. I just need the consensus products to go for. 2-3 max that I can hone in on, both for Carbon and for the softener (TAC System best?). I'd appreciate not just saying brands (Clack) but actual info on the best line from them, how to buy it, whether to get both systems etc. Specifics really help me.

Let me know if you need any other info, but any help here from unbiased members would be GREATLY appreciated. This will be pairing with a Navien tankless, if that helps.
