Which spots around Newcastle/Northumberland are good for crayfish trapping?

I'm looking into an Environment Agency permit and see there's a lot of native crayfish populations so fewer permits are granted round here. Has anyone had a permit granted recently locally, or know of signal crayfish infested waters?
