How to grow hair out despite having split ends?

My hair has extensive damage and it seems to have stopped growing in length. I have multiple split ends, and even after trimming my hair that was near my mid back to just below shoulder length. I still have a ton that keeps coming back or needs cutting, I feel like all this cutting is inhibiting growth progress and don’t know what to do. I’m trying to thicken and grow my hair out but idk what to do. Anyone have any ideas and suggestions for products to use? I’d say my hair is quite thin and is wavy

How to deal with horrible flatmates?

Ones who just gossip and bitch about ALL the time. They will talk shit about someone to your face the next moment said person walks in they act fake and friendly. One thing I’ve learnt in life is that if someone gossips about others to you, then you’re definitely being spoken about too.

I try to avoid them a LOT bcs I’m sick of their performative fake behaviour. They are also EXTREMELY hypocritical, they will complain someone hasn’t done something yet they’ve NEVER done it either. I’ve probably done more of a chore than they have yet never been acknowledged and get grouped in the with the ones who don’t 😪

They have prejudices of people with certain faiths and characteristics, which I fall into. They may not have directly said it to my face but from indirect things they say like they ‘hate’ a certain ethnicity I can tell they most definitely do not like me either and was very evident from the way I was treated from day 1.

I know I only have a month left with these people and I should avoid them as much as I can but I can hear EVERYTHING from my room and I have to constantly live with this bitching and complaining it’s irritating me during exam season where I have other stressful things on my plate, I can’t deal with their nonsense.

Anyone know how to deal with people like this and block it all out to the best I can? Have tried all these months to not let it get to me, somedays I catch myself being affected by it and it’s just horrible to experience.

Iron supplements making me worse?

I’ve guessed I was possibly just deficient for years now, as it just runs in my genes and being a girl, plus nearly everyone I knew was deficient. Didn’t assume when I got my results back it would be REALLY bad. Was given medical grade iron tablets about 210mg and told to take it 3x a day. This was overkill it gave me bad digestive symptoms and I felt as though it gave me symptoms of the deficiency, such as dizziness, SOB etc.

Prior to this I had ZERO symptoms of anaemia, I only found out through bloods in a general health check. So I stopped taking the medical grades ones and any sort of supplementation for a good while.

Lately realised I should probably start again for general health and again no symptoms of it after stopping the supplements but I just assume my iron stores never recovered. So I buy some OTC gentle iron pills, after the traumas endured last time 😅 and they contain about 17mg of iron and in terms of digestive symptoms, no overkill this time.

But I have started feeling symptoms of a deficiency within a week or two of taking them?? I’ve started feeling dizzy, cold and tired and my lips began to split. Why is this happening? I definitely did not experience symptoms before supplementation so why now?

I am still on the lower end of dosages at 40mg as I’ve only just started my titration but I’ve not felt any effects? Like I do feel less hyper but I don’t have sustained focus, no motivation and task initiation. Everything is the same as before I started the meds. It’ll occasionally make me really sweaty, 30mg did this a lot but it’s calmed down with 40mg. But I really don’t notice any differences at all. I do it all the right way too, I’ve been eating protein for breakfast etc and if anything I’ve felt more hungry than usual?

I thought Elvanse was supposed to be an appetite suppressant and I was expecting some weight loss but it’s just made me hungry ALL the time and as a student I’ve always skipped breakfast or eaten once throughout the day with snacks throughout but now I get so hungry for full meals throughout the day. I feel like I could eat anything in my sight and still be hungry. One thing I have noticed though is I don’t crave chocolate like I used to? I would LIVE off of chocolate having it every single day and not be able to control myself when it comes to buying it but yeah that craving has disappeared completely.

I really don’t know how to feel about all this, I feel kind of broken because it doesn’t feel like anything and isn’t the magical experience everyone talks about. I just keep wondering how much higher will I have to go in terms of my dosage for it to actually do something and what to expect alongside that.

I believe I have exercise induced asthma I have a lot of the symptoms which haven’t shown improvement even with training. I went to my GP who told me to go get blood tests and get a FeNO done, probably because I said I have hayfever. Problem is I’m extremely worried I won’t have similar levels to an asthmatic, I got told exercise induced asthma isn’t its own thing and is part of asthma.

When I go on runs, be it in winter or summer, even at a slow pace I start dying within 5-10 minutes. I keep pushing through it and then when I’m at rest I cough and wheeze for a good few hours after, it feels like there’s bricks in my chest and gets all tickly and tight as if someone is squeezing my lungs.

But this is only during and after exercise on a daily basis, I have no symptoms so I know my readings will come back normal and they’ll say nothing is wrong with you, bye.

It’s frustrating because I can’t even do activities like hiking with my friends without dying and being unable to catch up with them. I was given a peak flow meter too and my readings seem kind of low for my age and height but apparently you can have a low ‘normal’. I really want to get more into running too and aim to run more than just a 3k but this is affecting my progress a lot

I’ve been trying to get into running for a long time, I’m not consistent but I do try go for a run often. My main problem is within 5-10 minutes of going for a run, even at a slow pace, I will start dying for a breath and have to stop and walk, or late run completely stop to catch my breath. I’ll get an extreme runny nose and my throat gets mucusy.

It genuinely feels like I’m about to die and, on a rare occasion, I start feeling off balance and dizzy too as if my body isn’t getting enough oxygen. It feels very tight in my lungs and as if there’s something squeezing it. After my run I’m coughing and wheezing for a good while and feel a lot of air hunger.

I’ve heard of exercise induced asthma but I genuinely can’t tell if I’m just unfit or have a problem. My symptoms affect me going beyond a 2-3k run and it’s frustrating as I’ve been trying for a while. I try breathing and posture techniques but don’t know if I’m doing it wrong hence my symptoms. Have any beginners been like this or is it actually a problem?

Do we get enough vitamin D wearing sunscreen?

My skin has become quite sensitive to the sun in the past few years, it leaves me with white blotchy patches all over my face etc so I have to avoid the sun as much as I can and cover up with sunscreen. I already have a vitamin D deficiency, and being brown skinned doesn’t help either will I still be getting enough vitamin D this summer?
