Fully closed apps are reopening exactly where I left them (Samsung A73 5G). Bug, malware, or just crazy memory management?
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to figure out if my phone’s RAM management is just crazy powerful, if there's a One UI bug, or if I should actually be concerned about malware. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, and I have RAM Plus turned off.
Here’s what’s been happening:
A few nights ago, I was adjusting my screen timeout in the display settings. Before going to sleep, I completely closed the Settings app (swiped it away from the recent apps menu). However, when I opened Settings the next morning, it bypassed the main menu and took me directly back to the screen timeout page—as if it had never been closed.
The exact same thing happened yesterday with Reddit and Swiggy, and then again today with Spotify. Even though I am fully closing these apps, launching them later opens them instantly to the exact page I left them on.
Should I be concerned about this? Is this just Android doing a really aggressive job at caching app states, a known bug, or something malicious?
