Potential Lead Up To Seven Havens

Spoilers for Book 4 of The Legend of Korra — you’ve been warned.

So both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra constantly emphasize one core idea: balance. The Avatar exists to maintain balance, and even small disruptions can have huge consequences for the world.

At the end of Book 4, Korra accidentally creates a third spirit portal during her fight with Kuvira.

That got me thinking: what if having three portals is actually a massive imbalance?

Before Harmonic Convergence, there were two portals — one at each pole. That feels intentional: equal access, north and south, a balanced connection between the Spirit World and the human world.

But now there are three.

What if that imbalance eventually becomes a major problem? Maybe the world starts becoming unstable because there’s an uneven connection between realms.

And if Korra realizes that, what if she tries to “fix” it by creating a fourth portal to restore balance… but accidentally makes things even worse?

We already saw how insanely destructive spirit vine energy can be. One portal being created in Republic City completely reshaped the landscape. A fourth portal made the same way could potentially tear apart entire regions — or even trigger some kind of collapse between the human and spirit worlds.

Basically: what if Korra’s attempt to restore balance is what actually causes the next global catastrophe?
