PokeHunting Tonight

Heading to a fun card show tonight, mainly to vibe out and heal. Received a small gift from a loved one from beyond today and need your help on what to buy

I want to buy a card or some cards tonight to remember him by - budget is $500. My spirit Pokemon is Slaking but I love most of the main favs - looking for beautiful art and something that makes you mouth the word wow. What’s the one card that I need?

Honoring my Father - Bloodgood Japanese Maple: Help Me Make It Legendary 🌳❤️

Last week, my father passed at a ripe and seasoned age, living a legendary life.

Today, I finished potting and mossing this Bloodgood Japanese Maple in his honor. He was a lifelong gardener - and eventual master gardener, the kind of person who could walk into a space and turn it into a community much bigger than gardening.

Growing up, I didn’t understand the obsession with gardening - I hated the work and fully moved away from it. Today I often find myself in my therapeutic gardens - communicating to plants that I’ve named and nurtured. They truly give us so much.

Sometimes funny how life works, I now may have an insane number of plants, but there’s somehow often room for more. This maple is going to be the centerpiece of my small zen garden that’s always in flux, but has transformed into a place of healing. The tree is a memorial to him - so far I’ve added live moss, a few decorative stones, and probably way too much emotional attachment for a tree that was planted not long ago.

So I’m coming to you awesome experts for advice. If this were your memorial tree in a container, and you wanted it to become the most beautiful specimen possible, what would you do? I’m in Zone 7b.

• What mistakes should I avoid?
• Any container-care secrets?
• Design ideas for the pot, moss, stones, lighting, or surrounding garden?
• Anything you’d wish you had known when your tree was young?

We know that things don’t live forever, but I love the feeling that this one might have a long life with proper care. Would love to hear your best tips, photos, inspiration, advice, and wisdom. Thank you for helping me give this tree and my father the tribute and honor they deserve. Peace and Blessings
