And yeah, they were absolutely right. I had so much fun playing it! Especially summoning the Shining Hydra and endlessly flooding the field with hydras and raptors through the Breeder. That was so cool.

I’ve really been having a great time with both Ashes Reborn and Ascendancy.

Before May ends, I’m glad I was able to get a custom Darth Vader playmat made for my TCGs and board games.

Of course, the very first game I played on it was my favorite, the Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game.

I tweaked some of the rules to make the game a bit more punishing. And yeah, I honestly thought the AI was going to beat me. 😂 It already destroyed two of my bases. Good thing the cards I drew near the end were mostly heavy attacks.

Today, I have decided to play the GOTG again (one of my faves tbh) with Star-Lord and Gamora.

1st scenario: Drang (with 3 expert cardsincluded)

That was brutal. 😂 I honestly thought both of my heroes were done for. We kept taking heavy damage from Drang and all his minions. To make things worse, I kept drawing more minions too. Haha.

Good thing both of my heroes can hit hard. And thankfully, Gamora was really good at keeping the main and side schemes under control.

This probably becomes even more amazing with all the Guardians in play. Maybe I should try a 5-handed game someday? Hahaha.

If you ask me, these are HEAVILY played especially marvel champions, like 3-5 times a day for almost 2 years now (no kidding!). We’ve got a loooooong way since I have been hunting expansions and packs from those years.

I know some will ask, how about “marvel burnout?”, or “You’ll quit in a month of playing”.

Heck NO. I love these games! Period. Also, it’s marvel! No more explanations.

What I really love about them especially marvel champions and marvel united? Two words: thematic play! Plus, I get to paint those minis!!!

Deck-building? Yes I looooove deck-building games! Marvel legendary tops my list (neck in neck with my Apex theropod).

Unmatched? A tactical 1 on 1 play especially when using marvel characters!

These games will never leave my shelf. No matter what. 🙂

First mastermind: Red skull.

Heroes for solo play: Cap, Black widow and Thor.

Black widow is the MVP here. She keeps on rescuing bystanders and at the same time, dealing damage to villains. I still find Thor here as a weakling (both marvel champions and marvel legendary). I was about to be defeated tho, the mastermind got 6 scheme twists! Just one step closer to accomplish his evil plans!

Can’t wait for more plays later on.

What’s your favorite game that will be forever in your shelf/collection? Me, I have tons but this Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid game will always have a special place in my heart/shelf. 🙂

Thor is much weaker here in MC. I’d rather play with She-hulk or Hulk (heroes who happens to have small hand size, too).

I had soooo much fun playing against him! Adding those boost cards from your discard or your deck and so on? What a menace!

Playing Standard difficulty with Viros and took me almost 90 mins! Had so much fun deciding which ally should I ressurect from the dead. Oooooh! I love necromancy and I am soooo lovin’ this deck!

Most of the rules here are a bit confusing soooo, I just applied what I have learned from the Ashes Ascendancy since the new core set is much easier to apply and remember.
