Frustrated with Car Audio system
Hey guys, looking for some advice on my current setup because I feel like something is off with the vocals/soundstage.
Current setup:
Amp 1 (4-channel V12):
Rated 150W RMS x4 @ 2ohm
300W RMS x2 bridged @ 4ohm
Running:
2 pairs of Morel Maximo 6 MK II
1 pair of Hypersonic Drum full-range tweeters
40W RMS
4ohm
80W max
Amp 2 (mono block, local Indian brand):
1500W x1 @ 1ohm
850W x1 @ 2ohm
450W x1 @ 4ohm
Running:
1x Alpine Type 12” sub
1x Hammer 12” sub
My issue is:
vocals mostly feel like they only come from the front tweeters
overall vocals feel lower/weaker than expected
bass is strong but sometimes feels overpowering
Doors are not damped
My audio shop is telling me to replace the morels with ‘mids’ for more vocals and I have no idea if they are right or not
