Can't copy/paste gifs from Giphy to Outlook anymore?

I was unsure whether to post this to r/outlook, to r/gif, or some other relevant sub, but I'll start here. I'm on macOS 26.3.1. All apps involved/mentioned are updated to their latest versions.

Up until not that long ago (feels like that, at least), I was able to copy/paste gifs from Giphy.com by simple right-clicking, choosing "Copy Image", and then paste directly into the email I was composing in Outlook.

Now, it does paste the image, but not as a gif animation, but as a the static poster-image. This is the case both in from Firefox (my primary browser) and Chrome (secondary).

In Safari (which I never use) it pastes a working animation, but that animation is used, and mostly resists scaling down. Tl;dr – not an option.

Practically, my current solution is to drag-and-drop the gif from Giphy.com to my Desktop (dragging directly into the email won't work, for some reason), and from there I can drag it into the email, ending up with an actually animated gif.

Any tips? Either for getting copy/paste from Firefox or Chrome to work again, or any other viable solution to easily and realiably paste gifs into Outlook emails?

Thanks! 🙂

I just started using the app 2 weeks ago, and I really enjoy it. MThere’s just one thing – I searched this sub, and read through the Tutorial and FAQ on the website, but I can’t find an explanation: I’m on an iPhone 17 Pro, and in spite of having ProRAW and MAX on, I only get 48mb images with the 24mm lens. As soon as I choose 48 or 100mm, images are only 12mb.

What am I doing wrong? I tried all kinds of different settings, but no solution so far. Doesn’t Nofusion use the available lenses? Are focal lengths beyond 24mm just cropped?

Thanks for your help!
